Introduction
As project leaders we need to make several presentations a year to different audiences: the team, the PMO, the governance, the C suite and on varied topics.
And sometimes, we feel frustration because we spend a lot of time preparing, we have to repeat what we said, or our presentations are not followed by actions.
We may be convinced that we know how to make a good business presentation: but is that true?
Renaud Taburiaux helped many leaders to prepare impactful (or great) presentations quickly. This book is the outcome of his experience.
Overview of Book’s Structure
The book follows the preparation of a fictional character who needs to prepare a presentation. Therefore, the book is structured around the three steps of the framework:
Think, Build, Deliver, as follows:
- BEFORE
- DURING
- AFTER
The book dissects the different steps and tools of the Presentation Sprint framework. It’s packed with tips and images to illustrate the ideas. This structure takes the reader to learn this step-by-step process with a concrete application.
Highlights
We follow the journey of John, a product manager who needs to prepare an important presentation in one week: the content and the delivery. The story is written in a pleasant way, and we can easily identify with John’s doubts, fears, and struggles.
The book is easy and pleasant to read. It goes straight to the point without fluff. There are tools: checklists and a canvas.
