In order to support the needs and interests of a globally diverse range of project management practitioners and organizations, we publish a wide range of articles, papers and contents each month, by authors in many countries. In so doing, the PMWJ has become one of the world’s most international publications serving the project management field, with each edition often including works by authors in 15-20 different countries. Since 2012, the PMWJ has published more than 5,500 works by 2,100+ different authors in over 90 countries.
Each edition of the PMWJ contains many works in the categories below. Note that all works published in the PMWJ must be related to program or project management, either directly or indirectly. Since projects vary widely by size, type, industry, location or context, the variety of works published reflects the potential interest of or usefulness to our range of readers.
New Knowledge
We want to publish works that share new knowledge, either new ideas and models, or new information based on experience. Articles and papers should be balanced, objective and critical assessments or descriptions that contribute to the project management professional field. Constructive reviews of existing P/PM applications, processes or literature are welcome.
Academic or Professional – Not Commercial
All works submitted for publication in the PMWJ should be academic or profession based. We do not publish papers based on advertising, promoting or disparaging any products, organizations or people. The PMWJ is intended to be an honest, objective and professional publication.
AI and Plagiarism Checks, Standard Formats
Also note that all works published in the PMWJ are subjected to potential Plagiarism and Artificial Intelligence (AI) content checks. See our AI and Plagiarism Policies here. All works should also be submitted in our STANDARD FORMAT; read Before You Submit here.
Topics we Publish
Original works related to any aspect of project, program or portfolio management, including those of various types and sizes, in most industries and in any country, culture or conditions. While we seek and promote the creation of new knowledge, new models, new concepts and ideas, our primary mission is to support the sharing of useful information and experiences. That is, topics might include new applications of well-established processes or models, new perspectives by new generations of PM practitioners, P/PM under new conditions (i.e. VUCA, AI, Extreme), or new models and methods applied to common P/PM (AI, AugI, etc.).
We also welcome articles, stories and papers by students (young or old), new or highly experienced professionals, academic and professional leaders. This variety is supported by the categories of works published, as described below. If you have any doubts or questions, contact editor@pmworldjournal.com.
Previously Published Manuscripts
From time to time, we republish selected papers that have previously appeared in the PMWJ or elsewhere. See Second Editions category below.
