Abstract
This research combines literature review and field research in the comparison and analysis of Ozoro traditional architecture with modern architectural building materials in relation to real estate project management. The study’s information was from academic journals, books, research articles and online sources, this is necessary to understand the types of building materials used in traditional and modern architecture, their sources and their impact on real estate construction projects. Field research conducted was basically to capture images of Ozoro traditional architecture and real estate projects that showcase the use of modern building materials. The traditional Ozoro architecture uses locally-sourced materials like clay, thatch, and wood, this is in reflection the cultural heritage and sustainability. The modern architecture uses foreign and locally assembled materials like steel, glass and concrete for durability and aesthetic appeal. Materials also, offer durability, design possibilities, sustainability and cultural identity preservation. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of considering cultural, environmental and economic factors when choosing building materials for real estate projects.

- Introduction
Real estate or building project act as a tangible reflection of the cultural heritage and evolving trends within a Ozoro community shaping its identity and providing insights into its values and beliefs. In Ozoro traditional society, which is located headquarter of Isoko South, Delta State Nigeria, the juxtaposition between traditional architecture and modern architectural practices has become a subject of discussion. At the center or heart of this debate lie the dual issues; the building material types and sources, the duo are believed to be that, that defines its architectural styles/real estate design raising significant implications for the successful management of real estate projects in the region. This study however, seeks to unravel the complexities surrounding Ozoro’s traditional architecture versus modern architecture hence; it is dedicated towards the investigation of the types of building materials in use and their sources as utilized including the consequential impact on real estate project management.
The traditional architecture of Ozoro’s is an embodiment of a rich tapestry of cultural narratives and historical legacies. This is rooted in the use of indigenous building materials that have stood the test of time. The traditional construction of structures in Ozoro often relies on locally sourced materials such as; mud bricks, thatch, bamboo and indigenous timber hence, it is seen as reflection of a harmonious coexistence with the natural environment and a sustainable approach to building. These materials does not only describe or affirm it as reflection of the cultural heritage of the community but it also showcase the ingenuity and craftsmanship of local artisans who have perfected the techniques of working with these traditional materials over generations.
On the contrary, the coming of modern architecture in Ozoro has challenged the traditional norms thus it has ushered in a new era of construction practices that incorporate a diverse range of building materials sourced from both local and global markets. The incorporation of modern materials for example; concrete, steel, glass, and prefabricated elements has brought about a shift in design aesthetics and structural integrity, offering greater flexibility and durability in building construction, (Sadafi et al., 2011), Ozoro inclusive. As these modern materials provide genuine opportunities for innovation and creativity in architectural design, the questions about their compatibility with the cultural and environmental context of Ozoro is also a matter of concern that needs to be studied.
