Introduction
The book explores the intersection of developing technologies and digital transformation initiatives that are happening across many organizations throughout the world in the banking and Fintech sectors. The book provides an outline to help project managers understand this evolving landscape, accounting for automation, compliance with regulatory bodies, data collection, storage and integration. It addresses, especially in the first chapter of the book – a project manager’s role in this evolving landscape.
Overview of Book’s Structure
The book is organized into chapters, written by different authors – arranged in a logical order, in order to help provide an introduction to the banking and fintech sectors, recent and ongoing developments as well as project management best practices in this sector.
This structure, I felt was especially effective since it separated the articles into bite size chunks while still maintaining overall cohesion – allowing (especially on a personal level) a more engaging and easy digesting of complex topics like RPA technology.
Highlights
In particular, Chapters 3, 4, and 11 were highlights because they provide valuable insights into how digital technology reshapes project management in banking and FinTech, emphasizing themes of automation, efficiency, and customer behavior. Chapter 4 stood out to me as being the most digestible explanation of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tech that I have ever received and certainly added to my understanding of the subject.
