Kirk Hochstatter, PhD is an experienced scholar and practitioner specializing in building construction, collaborative project delivery governance, leadership, and the application of digital tools in construction and project management contexts. He currently serves as a Lecturer at the University of Washington, where his work integrates industry practice, applied research, and professional education in project management and integrated project delivery.

With more than 25 years of professional experience in building construction and eight years in academia and research, Kirk brings a practice-informed and analytically rigorous perspective to the review and evaluation of scholarly and professional publications. His research and reviewing interests center on governance and shared leadership in AEC teams, collaborative delivery models, and the effective integration of building information modeling and related digital technologies into project management practice and education.

Kirk holds a PhD in Construction Management, a Master of Science in Construction Management, and a graduate certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University.
