According to PMWJ editor David Pells, “I first met João when he submitted a paper a few months ago on a rather sophisticated topic, ‘Bayesian Networks for Substation Schedule-Delay Risk’. Since then I have come to respect his background, his enthusiasm, and interest in such topics as project contract laws and regulations, project engineering and project management standards. He has offered to share project management news and information from one of the most populated and economically powerful cities in the world.”
João Pettená stated, “My intention is to submit periodic pieces for the PMWJ, including interviews with local PM community leaders, interviews with project leaders involved in relevant regional initiatives, and short analyses of Brazilian/local PM topics. It will be equally interesting for me to delve into these topics; there really are many interesting projects happening in this part of Brazil.”
Pells added, “João’s background in engineering, project management and the law should provide for broad and useful perspective on both Brazilian projects and project management. I look forward to seeing his first report or next article. Welcome, João, to the PM World team.”
