Dr. Aurangzeb Zulfiqar Khan holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer (Germany), and a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Trier (Germany). He did his Post-Doc under the Fulbright Program at the University of Maryland in College Park (USA).
Dr. Khan began his career in 1992 as an Executive Assistant in Hilal Consultants, a private firm in Islamabad, Pakistan. Subsequently he worked as Programme Coordinator for the German Hanns-Seidel Foundation in Islamabad and later as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad, which operates under the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
After earning his doctoral degree Dr. Khan joined COMSATS University Islamabad where he served on the faculty of the Department of Management Sciences for twenty years until his retirement in March 2025. During his service at COMSATS he launched in 2008 Pakistan’s first master-level program in project management in which he taught specialized courses which he developed himself including project stakeholder management and engagement which he has also taught to graduate students at the University of Maryland.
