WELCOME

Welcome to the June 2025 edition of the PM World Journal (PMWJ), our 153rd monthly edition. This month’s PMWJ is another diverse and interesting edition, with 42 new works by 47 different authors representing 23 different countries. The new editions this month bring our totals to 5,493 works by 2,1274 different authors representing 90+ countries published in the PMWJ to date and archived in the PM World Library.
First, my apologies for the late publication of this edition. As you can see, this is one of our largest and fullest editions to date, so there was more to edit and prepare. This brings me to an important announcement; going forward all works submitted for publication in the PMWJ must be formatted in our standard format. With increasing volume, including more academic papers which are challenging and time-consuming to reformat, I cannot deal with the increased workload. Most other journals have this as a common requirement, so we are just adopting the same policy for the PMWJ. In addition, all works will now also be subject to plagiarism and AI checks. In fact, since we are introducing peer reviews with the July edition, we will be posting new publishing policies, processes and author guidelines very soon. So, stay tuned, and please stay with us; the PMWJ is undergoing a transformation into a hybrid journal serving both academic researchers and practitioners, while staying true to our mission of supporting the sharing of useful information, experience and knowledge.
One Letter to the Editor is included in this edition on the topic of AI Chatbots by one of our recent authors, Alexander Apostolov in Bulgaria. Apparently shortly after publication in the PMWJ last month, his article was found referenced in a GenAI application. Open source publication is what does it, I think.
One Interview is included this month, actually five interviews in one. Aina Allieva in Ontario, Canada has provided part 3 of her interviews with co-authors of the recently published book, The Evolution of the PMO: The Rise of the Chief Project Officer. Good stuff! Check out this interesting set of interviews.
A whopping 13 Featured Papers are included this month, by authors in nine different countries. These include seven by academic researchers, one full thesis by a recent PhD graduate and five by experienced project management practitioners. The topics vary from directly to indirectly related to program and project management. Rather than mention all of the titles and authors, I can say that these are substantial works representing many hours of research and writing. I feel they all contribute to our collective knowledge base that can help others plan and manage their project better. So please review the titles and summaries and read one or two…
