As ever, it has been a busy few months at APM (Association for Project Management). Our fantastic volunteer community continues to deliver exceptional value to the project profession through their leadership of our networks, through supporting our content and qualifications, though engagement with schools and universities, and through effective governance and advocacy.
- In terms of our Regional Networks, this quarter has seen us establish the APM UAE Network (United Arab Emirates) and the APM Ireland Network. This builds on our existing international presence with networks in the Greater Bay Area and the Channel Islands. Early work has already been underway for some time to establish APM networks in other international regions later this year – watch this space!
- In terms of our Interest Networks, there has been growth here too. In recent months, there have been several new networks, including for the Built Environment, the International Space Sector, Sustainability, and our AI and Data Interest Network.
Several important publications have been issued recently at APM, including:
- Projecting the Future: Harmonising Energy and Environment
- Senior Managers’ and Project Managers’ Guide to Critical Chain
- PRAM Guide (Project Risk Analysis and Management Guide) – 3rd edition
- Project Controls in the 21st Century

Adam Boddison joined APM as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in September 2021 having formally held CEO and senior executive roles in multiple educational organisations. Beyond APM, Adam has a portfolio of consultancy and volunteering supporting organisations and initiatives that benefit society.
Adam is a visiting Professor at Stranmills University College and at the University of Leicester (School of Business). He has authored several books and is a qualified clinical hypnotherapist. In 2022, Adam was awarded the OBE for services to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
As CEO of APM, Adam is a leading figure in the UK’s project management professional and business communities, a popular keynote speaker at major events, and a prominent voice for the project profession with the UK government and general public.
