Dear PMI Dallas Members and Friends

As we continue to build momentum in this exciting season for our chapter, I want to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to all of our new members. We are truly honored to have you join the PMI Dallas community. Your decision to invest in your professional growth strengthens not only your own journey but the collective excellence of our chapter.

I would also like to congratulate the many members who have recently earned new PMI certifications. Your dedication, discipline, and commitment to mastery exemplify the very best of the project management profession. These milestones are not easy to achieve, and each certification earned elevates the capability and credibility of our entire community. We celebrate you.

Our February Dinner Meeting was another strong reflection of the engagement and energy that make PMI Dallas so special. Attendance was outstanding, and the room was filled with meaningful connections and thoughtful dialogue. We were especially privileged to host Elizabeth Mahusay, CPC, whose impactful presentation on confidence resonated deeply with our members. Her message was both timely and powerful.

As project managers, confidence is not just a personal attribute—it is a professional capability. Confidence is the quiet authority that enables project managers to navigate uncertainty, influence stakeholders, and lead with clarity when the path forward is not yet fully visible.

One of the most compelling insights from Elizabeth’s session was the importance of our self-narrative. The stories we tell ourselves shape how we show up in moments that matter. When our internal narrative is grounded in capability, preparation, and purpose, our external leadership presence strengthens naturally. Confidence is not about perfection; it is about trusting our preparation, our judgment, and our ability to adapt.

In our daily roles, the impact of confidence is profound. It affects how we facilitate difficult conversations, how we make decisions under pressure, how we recover from setbacks, and how we inspire our teams. When project managers lead with grounded confidence, projects move forward with greater alignment, stakeholders experience greater trust, and teams perform with greater cohesion.

As we look ahead, we are approaching the spring season with exciting plans underway. Our volunteers and board are actively preparing a robust calendar of programs, networking opportunities, and professional development events designed to serve you well. Please keep an eye on our upcoming calendar—we look forward to continuing to learn, connect, and grow together.

Thank you for your continued engagement and for being such an essential part of the PMI Dallas community.

With appreciation,

Kimia Penton, President, PMI Dallas Chapter
