On Reading the Latest Edition of the PMWJ

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

20 May 2026

Dear David,

As always, I read the latest issue of your PM World Journal and your welcome article from the publisher with great interest. The number of articles, and above all, their quality (e.g., the systems approach to PMOs or the article on Colosseum), demonstrate how much your work is needed. Also in the field of AI, articles in PMWJ are helping me gain some knowledge in this area.

I recently prepared a paper for a conference in Nepal (the International Conference on Public Administration and Governance in South Asia), where I would like to discuss how governments should organize the management of their public projects. Yamanta Niroula’s articles on project management in Nepal were very helpful in this regard.

Sometimes, people who find my articles in PM WL/J contact me. Most recently, a lady from Kazakhstan – a country very advanced in implementing public project management – wrote to me. She expects PMI to handle public projects more or less as I propose.

For me, PMWJ is very interesting and necessary. PM World Journal and PM World Library must continue for the good of the global project management community! I wish you success in finding a new host!

Although I’m two years younger than you, I’m practically in a state of retirement. I can imagine how busy you are with dozens of articles for PMWJ each month. In my case, the state of retirement gave much more time for my work.

Deepest regards,

Stan Gasik
