According to PMWJ editor David Pells, “Oliver Lehmann has been a contributing author for the PMWJ for many years, and is recognized as an expert on all aspect of contracts, contractor relations and contract-based project business.  He has been one of the few leaders in the PM field who has focused on project management in project-based businesses, and the thousands of contractors who perform project work under contract with owners.  I am happy to add Oliver’s expertise to our industry advisory team.”

Oliver Lehmann stated, “The PM World Journal has published many of my articles on project business in recent years, so I am pleased to have this opportunity to provide support. The PMWJ has served an important role in bringing more attention to contractor and business-based project management.  In the project business field, effective project management is a matter of both success and survival; it’s not optional. Project business needs to be a more visible and prominent share of the project management professional field.”

Pells added, “It seems that a majority of the professional standards, qualifications and literature have been focused on projects and project management within organizations, that is, internal projects.  Meanwhile, nearly half of all project work is performed under contract for others – that is true project business.  Oliver brings deep knowledge and understanding of that side of our profession.”

PM World engages with professional and academic leaders in various countries to support the organization’s dual missions of advancing knowledge sharing and continuous learning related to modern program and project management.
