 Introduction

The book “Leadership Principles for Project Success” by Thomas Juli provides clear and concise explanations of the five key principles of project leadership: building vision, nurturing collaboration, promoting performance, cultivating learning, and ensuring results. However, the book is not without its flaws.

Overview of Book’s Structure

The book is divided into two parts:

Part 1: The Five Key Principles of Project Leadership – Provides a clear and concise overview of the five key principles of project leadership. Each principle is discussed in detail, but some of the examples and case studies are a bit dated.

Part 2: Applying the Five Key Principles in Real-World Projects – Provides practical advice and techniques for applying the five key principles in real-world projects. The author discusses a variety of topics, including project planning, team management, and risk management. However, the book does not address some of the more recent challenges facing project leaders, such as the rise of agile development and the increasing complexity of projects.

Highlights

The clear and concise explanations of the five key principles of project leadership.

Practical advice and techniques for applying the five key principles in real-world projects. The examples and case studies illustrate the principles.

Highlights: What I liked!

I really liked the clear and concise explanations of the five key principles of project leadership. The author did a great job of explaining the principles in a way that was easy to understand, and the examples and case studies helped to illustrate the principles in a real-world context. However, I would have liked to see more recent examples and case studies.
