On May 5, 2023, PMOGA India Community Hub hosted an event on the role of PMOs in a fintech world. The event was led by Ms. Cecilia D’Silva, , Senior Vice President and Head of Project Management Office at Kinara Capital.
The PMO Insights event was a valuable opportunity for project management professionals to learn about the role of PMOs in the fintech world. Ms. Cecilia D’Silva, insights were informative and practical, and they provided attendees with a roadmap for implementing a PMO culture within their own organizations.
The fintech industry is growing rapidly, and with it, the risks associated with it. Fintech organizations handle sensitive financial data, and they must comply with complex and constantly evolving regulations. They must also maintain a positive reputation and continuously innovate.
Cecilia D’Silva, shared her insights on some of the unique risks that fintech organizations face:
- Cybersecurity: Fintech organizations are a prime target for cyberattacks because they handle sensitive financial data.
- Compliance: Regulations in the fintech industry are complex and constantly evolving, making it challenging to stay compliant.

- Innovation: Fintech organizations must continuously innovate to stay ahead of the competition, but this can introduce new risks.
