Project Management Virtual Events in Spain at the Current Situation
REPORT

By June 2020, the PMI Madrid Spain Chapter organized a couple of virtual events. Those events served to maintain the Spanish project management spirit alive in our community. Susana Moreno (current PMI Madrid Spain Chapter President) and her Board of Directors joined their forces to make those events happen.
Most of Project Management professionals missed the interactive and face-to-face communication, impossible now during the pandemic. The difficulty to communicate interactively among other professionals about the projects we are managing now or about the new initiatives (future projects) that we are considering in this new paradigm we are facing. Two virtual events were delivered at the moment, an open forum and a virtual coffee (interview) between the current PMI Madrid Chapter president (Susana Moreno) and Alfonso Bucero (former Chapter president). On July a new webinar has been announced “The PMI-PBA certification and the professional career of the Business Analyst”
The speakers will be: Jorge Lamadrid, Francisco Lojo, Rafael Pagán, Luis Eduardo Reyes, Erika Zaragoza (PMI-PBAs de PMI-Madrid). The team organizing this evento is formed by: Jesús Vazquez, Rafael Pagán, José Barato, Ninfa Muñoz and Ángeles Gómez.
Date and time: July 14th at 20:00 (Spanish time).
In this webinar, the speakers will participate in a round table where all participants can join. In this table, the speakers will share relevant Information with the audience about the PBA certification scope, preparation and exam. The speakers will share their experiences, both about the process and the added professional value of that certification, improving their professional profile as business analysts and its synchronization with their project manager role. We will talk about the application and audit, business analysis and agility, roles and types of business analysts and their relations with project managers, business analysis and industries, countries and different cultures.
