ISO/TC 258, the Technical Committee (TC) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) set up to work with standards in the field of project, program, and portfolio management, convened for the fifteenth plenary meeting in Athens, Greece, on September 18th … 20th 2024. The plenary participants – over 30 representing 20 national standardization bodies and liaisons – were warmly welcomed to Athens by Dr. Fragoulis Krokos, Director of Standardization at National Quality Infrastructure System – Hellenic Organization for Standardization (NQIS – ELOT), the national standardization body of Greece, and Mr. Eleftheros Kritikos, CEO of NQIS – ELOT. Mr. Kritikos commented: “Our plenary, and the important work of ISO/TC 258, is made possible by you and our other members participating in this meeting virtually. You generously give your time, subject matter expertise, and teamwork to help advance our profession around the world. We are fortunate to have this opportunity for leadership in project, program, and portfolio management. Together, we have the potential — a responsibility in fact — to make a real contribution to benefit our fellow practitioners. This week’s meeting, and our work together going forward, will help us realize that potential.” Dr. Krokos can be contacted at fdk@elot.gr , and Mr. Kritikos at ele.kritikos@esyp.eu . The meeting was hosted by National Bank of Greece (NBG). NBG was established in 1841 and stands out with a unique history and long-standing presence, holding the leading position in Greek banking sector ever since.
