Prof Rodney Turner appointed PMWJ Honorary Global Advisor in UK

 

Former Chair and Hon Fellow of both APM and IPMA joins international advisory team for PM World Journal and Library

26 February 2024 – Dallas, TX, USA and London, UK – PM World has announced the appointment of Prof J. Rodney Turner as an honorary global advisor for the PM World Journal (PMWJ) and PM World Library (PMWL). Professor Turner is a visiting professor at the University of Leeds, and honorary professor at the University of Warwick, UK.

Most recently Rodney was Professor of Project Management at SKEMA Business School, in Lille France, where he was Scientific Director for the PhD in Project and Program Management.  He was also SAIPEM Professor of Project Management at the Politecnico di Milano (Italy), and Professor and High-End Foreign Expert at Shanghai University (China).

Rodney Turner is the author or editor of eighteen books, including The Handbook of Project-based Management, the best-selling book published by McGraw-Hill, and the Gower Handbook of Project Management.  He was editor of The International Journal of Project Management for 25 years until 2017.  His current research interests cover the relationship between governance and decision making on projects, stakeholders and customer experience, and the relationship between megaprojects and post-modernism.

Rodney is Honorary Fellow and former chairman of the UK’s Association for Project Management, and Honorary Fellow and former President and Chairman of the International Project Management Association.  In 2004 he received a life-time research achievement award from the Project Management Institute, and in 2012 from the International Project Management Association.
