A celebration for a lifetime: 25 years of local chapter!

PMI Mexico Chapter Celebration

Twenty-five years for living in an individual could be a third part or a quarter of its life if that person gets lucky. Twenty-five years could sound too much or too little depending on the experience and who has lived and grown during this time. However, talking about an organization and even more when a non-profit organization lives and continues its mission by volunteers only is a motive of pride, honor, and celebration!

This is what happened last June 4th and 5th, 2021, in Mexico City. The local chapter celebrated the first 25 years of existence, and other chapters in the country joined to promote and share the event. A little of history

On June 4th of 1996, a group of enthusiastic professionals gathered and kicked off the association in Mexico City. Mexico City was one of the first PMI representations outside the USA. The event

The celebration event took place on June 4th and 5th, 2021. There was a mix of great speakers, workshops, recognition, and celebration.

Mary Cardenas, the current president, and the third women president in the chapter’s history, initiated the event telling how honorable and proud she felt and thanking everyone around for continuing its purpose and mission. Ricardo Triana and Angela Mendez also spoke on behalf of PMI Latin America and the regional mentor.
