That’s how it was. Digitalization in Project Management:

Data and Artificial Intelligence for Decision-Making

Last year, the breakfast of the Association of Integrated Project Management (AEDIP) entitled DIGITALIZATION IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Data and Artificial Intelligence for Decision Making occurred. A day in which they reflected on how Project Management services are digitized, the tools that they applied, and how they obtained the data.

Planradar, Acieroid, Autodesk, and Sika organized the event with AEDIP. José Gil, Secretary General of AEDIP, introduced this event and gave way to Pablo Careijo, President of the Proptech Association Spain, who moderated this event after giving an institutional welcome. The panel included four professionals from the sector. Santiago Díaz, founder of 10t; Pablo Iborra, Tech Consultant at Zeus, Alejandro Jimenez, BIM&GIS Director at Typsa, Alvaro Vega, Regional Director Spain at PlanRadar and Mateo Zimmerman, Investment Director at Cemex Ventures who openly shared their concerns and experiences over the past few years and transparently exposed some of the challenges and opportunities currently facing the implementation of digitalization in the construction sector. x Ventures.

In 2024, AEDIP intends to continue with these activities as an alignment with the unstoppable digitalization of companies in the sector. The month of January has been a month of very little activity and a moment of reflection on what has happened in the area of Project Management in the Public Sector.

Data and Artificial Intelligence for Decision Making was a day full of ideas and reflections on the future of digitalization and its benefits in terms of collaborative project management and working with data. The speakers highlighted problems such as the traditional view of stakeholders, the lack of aid and incentives from the Public Administration, and the expectations of an immediate return on investment. The day ended with a coffee where speakers and attendees could get to know each other, share their different points of view, and clear up the unknowns raised during the session in a more relaxed atmosphere.
