INTRODUCTION

In each report, I’ll try to give you insights about PMI France and some projects in France.

PMI FRANCE

PMI in France was founded in 1995 and unified as one chapter PMI France in 2013.

With more than 5000+ members, PMI France is the 1st Chapter outside of North America, 1st in Europe and regularly ranked between the 3rd to the 5th in the world.

PMI France is a unified Chapter with 12 regional “branchs”: each branch can organize conferences, webinars, workshops, networking events, to name a few.

Since 2015, PMI France supports the ten principles of the Global Compact with respect to human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

PMI France has launched two new initiatives: WomenbyPMI and Mentoring.

WomenbyPMI

WomenbyPMI is an inclusive program whose goal is to promote diversity in project management. We have set up this program because we are convinced that Organizations that embrace diversity are more resilient and successful.

The objectives of this program are:

– To help its members progress in both skills and leadership, through partnerships with internal PMI France programs such as Mentoring or Oratio and external program such as #IamRemarkable lead by Google.

– To connect with other women networks in France and with other PMI Chapters in order to facilitate exchanges between project managers of different organizations (Lessons learned, Networking…)

– To produce a white paper to share good practices to promote women in project management

The motivated team is, willing to share best practices with others PMI Women In Projects and programs. Do not hesitate to contact them at womenbypmi@pmi-france.org.
